Product Description

Kills adult fleas, eggs and larvae. Biting fleas are more than just a nuisance for your dog. Left unchecked, they can cause serious disorders such as flea allergy dermatitis, secondary skin infections, tapeworms, and even anemia. This topical flea treatment lets you stop fleas before they become a problem. Used just once a month, it stops fleas from biting in less than five minutes, killing 98 to 100 percent of the fleas on dogs within 12 hours, and keeps working for a month. The dead fleas can't lay eggs, and the dead larvae can't hatch, breaking the flea's life cycle and halting the infestation in its tracks. A powerful solution, it also repels and kills ticks before they can attach and mosquitoes before they can bite. Applied before the start of flea season, it helps keep your dog from becoming infested in the first place. Used year-round, it prevents fleas from over-wintering in your home to feast on your dog next season. Gentle enough for puppies as young as seven weeks and older, the flea control remains effective even after bathing, water immersion, or exposure to sunlight, without the need for re-application. This package includes six pre-measured doses for dogs weighing 21 to 55 pounds in easy-to-use applicator tubes. For safety, keep out of the reach of children, and read all warnings and instructions carefully.

Customer Reviews

I've been using K9 Advantix for slightly over a year now and haven't seen a single flea in that time. Although my dog is an indoor dog, she goes hiking and walking with me often, has very thick fur, and has plenty of exposure to ticks and other pests. Before I used K9 Advantix, I used Frontline and although it stopped fleas I still found live ticks on her.
It's a little messy to put on because my dog's fur is thick, but until there is a medication in pill form that stops everything including ticks, I plan to use K9 Advantix as long as it works.

I purchased K9 Advantix II, both for dogs 21-55 lbs (red) and dogs greater than 55 lbs(blue), from Amazon and applied it to my (three) dogs. The dogs became hyperactive, running around panting and drooling in the worst case, and two of them are also experiencing pain in their hindquarters, starting within a half-hour or so of the Advantix II being applied (as per directions). Two of the dogs are still behaving oddly the morning after and one of them is yelping when she tries to sit. The third dog is hyper still but not experiencing any pain, outwardly. I've used Advantix before with no obvious observable side effects and am extremely disturbed at what has happened to my dogs now with the K9 Advantix II.
I've requested refunds for the K9 Advantix II and will see what happens there. But, just to be clear: I think the issue lies with the Advantix II, not with Amazon. The orders arrived on time and well-packaged.
